Bookkeeper

About This Role

Giggrabbers is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to provide accurate and timely financial record-keeping for our network of clients. This is a freelance position with consistent demand from small businesses, startups, and sole traders who need professional bookkeeping support without the overhead of a full-time hire.

Responsibilities

• Record and categorize all financial transactions including income, expenses, and asset purchases
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice generation and payment tracking
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports: profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Liaise with clients' accountants and CPA firms to support tax filings and year-end close
• Maintain payroll records and assist with contractor payment processing where required
• Set up and optimize accounting workflows in QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks for new clients

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience for small or medium-sized businesses
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero — platform certifications preferred
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
• Familiarity with GAAP principles and standard accounting workflows
• Clear, professional communication with clients and their professional advisors
• Experience preparing records for CPA review and tax season is preferred
